Captain Kerry Browning
I’m Kerry Browning — a lifelong fisherman who traded Midwest bass lakes for Charleston’s beautiful Lowcountry waters. After moving here in 2015, I’ve spent years exploring the creeks and marshes around Awendaw, learning the art of inshore fishing for redfish, trout, and flounder.
I live on the marsh in Awendaw with my wife, PJ. We have three amazing kids — two in Georgia and one in Kansas City. Fishing has always been a big part of my life, and learning this new style of coastal fishing has been an incredible experience.
When I’m not on the water, I serve on the Board of Release Over 20 as the Sponsor Chairman and Cast It Forward Event Coordinator, helping promote sustainable fishing and community engagement.
Sharing the fun, challenge, and beauty of inshore fishing is what it’s all about for me — and I love helping others experience the best of Charleston’s Lowcountry waters.
